Its all Taziki to me....

Give me a word, any word, and I show you that the root of that word is Greek. –My Big Fat
Greek Wedding

If you have never tried, this you will love it. There is hummus yes and then there is Taziki that is the OTHER dip for pitas but it can be used on gyros (YEE-ROS) or even just a dip for lamb. It is good and yogurt has some amazing health benifits. If you can use the greek yogurt FEMA it is good. You can add a little bit of sour cream or a shot of ouza but that would add more calories

Taziki Sauce
INGREDIENTS 2 (8 ounce) containers plain yogurt 2 cucumbers - peeled, seeded and diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
3 cloves garlic, peeled

DIRECTIONS Drain yogurt overnight using a strainer or sieve Cut cucumber, hull out seeds and drain (paper towels, cheesecloth or coffee filters) In a food processor or blender or hand mix, combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill and garlic. Process until well-combined. Transfer to a separate dish, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour for best flavor. Try on Wassa Crackers.
