Isa-Update

So as of Monday it has been a month and I am down 8lbs. Of course, I wanted to be down more but with such a crazy and emotional month thats good. I just started taking the Ionic Supreme too and it tastes awful but I feel like I have even more energy. Thats a good thing. So on to month two. I have to say the perspective change is good too. It is not a diet really its a new lifestyle. So onward and downward. I'll keep you posted and for those of you interested in Isagenix email Josh at leanerandcleaner@gmail.com

Its all Taziki to me....

Give me a word, any word, and I show you that the root of that word is Greek. –My Big Fat
Greek Wedding

If you have never tried, this you will love it. There is hummus yes and then there is Taziki that is the OTHER dip for pitas but it can be used on gyros (YEE-ROS) or even just a dip for lamb. It is good and yogurt has some amazing health benifits. If you can use the greek yogurt FEMA it is good. You can add a little bit of sour cream or a shot of ouza but that would add more calories

Taziki Sauce
INGREDIENTS 2 (8 ounce) containers plain yogurt 2 cucumbers - peeled, seeded and diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
3 cloves garlic, peeled

DIRECTIONS Drain yogurt overnight using a strainer or sieve Cut cucumber, hull out seeds and drain (paper towels, cheesecloth or coffee filters) In a food processor or blender or hand mix, combine yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, dill and garlic. Process until well-combined. Transfer to a separate dish, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour for best flavor. Try on Wassa Crackers.

It's a new dawn, It's a new day

Josh and I have been embarking on a healthy lifestyle. It is a different mentality. Not a diet for a few days but a lifestyle. So, we have been doing Isagenix for the past month and it has been good overall. He is down sixteen pounds http://www.leanerandcleaner.blogspot.com/ and I am down eight. For me it will be a month on Monday. I highly recommend Isagenix and if you want to try it, Josh is a distributor and it comes with a 30 day guarantee. Thirty days and if you dont like it, send it back. They have this great chocolate too. It helps curb the appetite. So, I have been doing a lot of research about health and I wanted to put it in one place so I can find it. And if someone else finds it helpful thats good too. So here is what I have found so far:

Helpful:Konjac Root Glucomannan Powder- It absorbs 200x its weight and helps regulate blood sugar so it takes longer for you to absorb your food and it lasts longer. It is a fiber too so don’t have too much.Shirataki noodles-no calories or very lowThe Tofu kind tastes better. It can be found at Henrys next to the Humuus in the refridegated section. The non tofu kind does not taste as well but has no calories
